The AARP Foundation is dedicated
to ensuring that people lead
lives of independence, dignity
and purpose. As the charitable
arm of AARP, the AARP Foundation
offers programs that provide
security, protection and
empowerment for older persons in
need.
The AARP Foundation Women’s
Leadership Circle (WLC) is a
network of volunteer leaders,
women of affluence and
influence, who support the AARP
Foundation in achieving its
mission and goals: serving
women in need, specifically,
those in poverty or at risk of
falling into poverty,
communities of color, and the
most vulnerable including those
living alone. The WLC uses its
collective voice and influence
to affect positive social change
through personal action,
community involvement and
philanthropy. Our CEO, Jean
Vernor, serves as a Cabinet
Member for AARP Women’s
Leadership Circle where she
continues to contribute her
personal support for all women.
Jean is proud of her connection
with the WLC because of its
dedication to improve and
enhance women’s lives as they
grow older. For more
information or to donate your
assistance, visit
